Ms. Amber Hagan

Staff Representative

Ms. Hagan is the Operations Coordinator for the Office for Civil Rights Compliance and Prevention Education where she is responsible for administrative, operational, human resources, and fiscal support for the Office for Civil Rights Compliance and the Office for Sexual Violence Prevention and Education. Prior to that she worked in Central Human Resources as a Benefits Specialist.

Ms. Hagan has been a staff senator since 2022 and in 2025 served as Vice President of the Staff Senate and Chair for the Commission for Staff Policies and Affairs. She has also served on the Compensation Taskforce, the Commission for Equal Opportunity and Diversity and the Staff Senate Policies and Issues Committee.

Amber received her Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from Radford University, holds a certification as a Certified Professional in Accessibility Core Competencies (CPACC) from the International Association of Accessibility Professionals. She also holds certificates in Fiscal Support from the Virginia Tech Fiscal Training Team and Mental Health First Aide from the National Council for Mental Well-being.
